As one of the longest serving members of staff at QES I have witnessed many changes over the last 28 years!
When I started at QES there were a mere 591 pupils. We are now well over double that. And whilst that may seem daunting it has brought about many positive changes, particularly the addition of some truly fabulous facilities. What has not been lost over the years is the unique feel of QES. It still retains that small-school, warm, friendly and welcoming atmosphere, one where we are all proud to be part of our community.
The next milestone in my QES journey is meeting the Class of 2018. Our new Year 7s now have their chance to make their own mark and contribute to a very special school and its unique history of scholarship and care.
I look forward to seeing the Class of 2018 (and their parents, some of whom I had the pleasure of teaching!) and the positive contributions I know they are going to make as they begin their own QES journeys this summer and in September.
